

Michael James Carter
1964–2026
Michael James Carter, 73, of Willow Creek, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 14, 1952, Michael was known for his quick wit, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He spent more than 40 years working as a mechanic, where he built lasting friendships and earned a reputation for being able to fix just about anything.
Michael enjoyed fishing at sunrise, cheering on his favorite football team, and spending weekends with his grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to tell a story, offer advice, or lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan Carter; his children, Daniel Carter and Emily Carter-Williams; four grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Carter.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on June 3, 2026, at Willow Creek Community Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life well lived.
Michael will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the countless lives he touched. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew him.
